Sidney Sound & Hearing Services was formed by bringing together two Tennessee practices, Madisonville Hearing Aid Center and Greater Cleveland Hearing Aid Center, under a single roof. The name changed. The mission didn’t.
Sidney Laher started fitting hearing aids in 2011 and opened the Madisonville office in 2014 because she wanted to do hearing care her way: slower appointments, real conversations, and the kind of follow-through patients deserve. Today the practice is growing again, welcoming patients from the recently acquired Hearing Solutions practice into our Madisonville and Cleveland offices.

Meet Sidney Laher, B.S., BC-HIS
Sidney is the founder and a board-certified hearing instrument specialist at Sidney Sound. She has been licensed and practicing since 2011, and she still personally evaluates and fits patients at both the Cleveland and Madisonville offices.
Sidney’s path started in business school, then shifted to hearing care after her first job at Beltone showed her how much of a difference better hearing makes for people’s families and confidence. The business training didn’t go to waste. She runs a tight, well-organized practice that still feels like a small-town clinic.
What patients say most often: she listens, she doesn’t push, and she explains things clearly. That’s the standard she built this practice around.

Whitney serves Monroe County and the surrounding areas as a board-certified hearing instrument specialist. Teaming up with Sidney Sound, she helps her community care for one of the most important senses for daily wellbeing.
She is passionate about helping people in need and has an eagerness to learn the constantly evolving technology of hearing aids. Whitney graduated from Cleveland State Community College in 2018.
Patients describe Whitney as warm, patient, and naturally good at putting people at ease. If you’ve been nervous about a hearing visit, you’ll feel different five minutes into your conversation with her.
