Hearing care that starts with listening to you.
At Sidney Sound & Hearing Services, you’re not a chart number. You’re a neighbor. We take the time to understand your hearing, your lifestyle, and the moments you most want to hear again.
Hearing care built on real relationships
Sidney Laher started this practice to do hearing care a different way. Slower, more personal, and rooted in the kind of long-term relationships that make patients feel like family.
You’re never rushed
Appointments here run long enough to actually help. Sidney walks every patient through their results, their options, and what comes next. Questions are welcome and expected.
Owner-led, locally rooted
Sidney sees you herself, and so does Whitney. The same specialist visit after visit, year after year. Your file is the relationship, not just the chart.
Honest pricing, real choices
We carry five major hearing aid brands and recommend the one that fits your hearing and your life, not the one with the best margin. You’ll always know what you’re paying for.
The voices you’ve been missing are still there.
Better hearing isn’t about devices. It’s about the people on the other side of the conversation.

What our patients say about their Sidney Sound experience.
“The people here are very good to my father. They work with him every time he needs new batteries or just needs his hearing aids cleaned. He will go in there not being able to hear anything unless you are yelling, and when he comes out he’s smiling and talking at a normal level. Thank you for taking care of our moms and dads.”
“Sidney herself is a beautiful person, who is as open to share her life experiences as she is to listen to yours, and always willing to help in any way she possibly can. Even as far as being willing to find my father’s house in case he has a problem with his hearing aids, so he may not have to come all the way to town.”
“As a visitor from out of town, I had an issue with my ReSound hearing aids. I called and they got me in right away and Sidney was wonderful. Will definitely go back when we move up here!”
Signs it may be time for a hearing evaluation.

If others comment that the volume is too loud, your hearing may be the reason.
Ringing or Buzzing in Your Ears
Tinnitus is often an early indicator of noise-related hearing changes.
Struggling in Noisy Environments
Difficulty following conversation in restaurants or groups is a hallmark sign of hearing loss.
